Skoda Vision C a multi-door coupe

Introducing the Skoda Vision C a multi-door coupe, concept car powered by a 1.4-litre TSI four-cylinder engine that can run on either petrol or compressed natural gas (CNG). Although CNG is rare in the UK, it’s a more prevalent fuel source in continental Europe. The sleek Vision C consumes 3.4kg of CNG per kilometre, and emits 91g/km of CO2: equivalent to one of Skoda's 'Greenline' diesel engines. VW’s MQB platform, which underpins the Golf, A3, Skoda Octavia and the new Seat Leon, was designed with incorporating CNG powertrains in mind, as well as petrol, diesel, electric and hybrid drivetrains. It’s expected that a showroom-ready Vision C would rest on the MQB architecture. Tony Slack, dealer principle at Derek Slack Motors explained how the Vision C is the next stage in Skoda’s design language. “Skoda are producing more edgy and sporty looking vehicles to the range”, said Tony. Looking closely at the Skoda Vision C we believe we can see underpinnings for future Skoda models including the all new Superb”. The first production model with the bold new look, is set to be the new 2015 Fabia, expected to debut at the Paris motor show in October.
Tony finished by saying, “ there’s emotional charisma attached to the Skoda brand, the outstanding design and engineering skills are fast becoming the bench mark for a new age of technology, economy and performance”.
